UX

“UX” stands for User Experience.

“User experience design is the process of enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty by improving the usability, ease of use, and pleasure provided in the interaction between the customer and the product.”

(From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_experience_design – an excellent overview if you’re new to the subject)

SiteSmith was founded out of a desire to put the User Experience on the front burner. The web is riddled with websites that are essentially print jobs translated into HTML. The web design market is still dominated by firms that excel at print design, but do not have the expertise, nor do they take the time to consider “the process of enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty by improving the usability, ease of use, and pleasure provided in the interaction between the customer and the product”, to quote the above.

Check out our portfolio. The portfolio itself, and all the items it contains, are excellent examples of “usability, ease of use, and pleasure provided in the interaction between the customer and the product”.
